Ekiden is a Japanese long-distance team relay race where runners pass a tasuki (sash) to the next teammate at designated stations, symbolizing the sharing of responsibility and teamwork.

How it Works

Team Relay: Runners on a team take turns running sections of the race.

Tasuki (Sash): The key element of the exchange is a sash, called a tasuki, which the runner wears and passes to the next teammate.

Stations: Runners hand off the tasuki at "station" points along the route.

Teamwork: Success relies on each runner contributing their best for the benefit of the entire team.

For this Ekiden, each runner will be running a total of 25KM, with 5KM each runner.

If, however, as a result of my participation in the event, I require medical attention, I hereby give consent to authorize medical personnel to provide such medical care deemed necessary.
